Mit dem Durchbrechen der Oberfläche, des Sujets in Bezug zum Umfeld, der Gesellschaft und der Zeit der Entstehung kann die verdeckte, jedoch eigentliche Information in einer Darstellung klarer ersichtlich und auf die wesentliche Information abstrahiert und reduziert werden. So lässt sich oft auch scheinbar gegensätzliches auf einen gemeinsamen Ursprung zurückführen.

By breaking through the surface, the subject in relation to the environment, the society and the time of creation, the hidden but actual information in a depiction can become more clearly visible and can be abstracted and reduced to the essential information. 
In this way, seemingly contradictory elements can often be traced back to a common origin.
